Both! Just like meeting rooms, private day offices come in two types, and the booking flow tells you which one you're looking at.
How to tell the difference
Check the wording in the booking flow. An instant book office says Book and the final button reads Accept and book. A request-to-book office says Request and the final button reads Accept and request booking.
What each type means
Instant book: your booking is confirmed the moment you complete it, with no waiting for approval from the workspace. You'll see it as confirmed in the Bookings section right away, and you'll receive a confirmation email.
Request-to-book: your request is sent to the workspace, which will confirm or decline it based on availability. Until then, the booking shows as pending in the Bookings section. Most workspaces respond quickly, and our Customer Support team monitors requests to make sure you get a response. If your plans change while it's pending, you can tap Withdraw booking request for a full refund.
What if my organization requires internal approval?
If your employer requires bookings to be approved internally, your booking goes to your chosen approver first, even for instant book offices. Once your approver signs off, an instant book office confirms right away, while a request-to-book office then goes to the workspace for final confirmation.
