Coworking is a term used to describe a working arrangement in which people from different teams and companies come together to work in a shared space.

After first emerging in the 2000’s, as the world shifts towards more flexible and hybrid working patterns, coworking spaces are now the fastest growing place of work. They’re used by everyone from individuals through to huge global companies looking to provide flexible options for their employees.

A coworking space is specially designed to accommodate people from different companies to come for the day and undertake their daily role, whatever that might look like. This means the space is characterised by shared facilities, services, and tools, but also a shared sense of community, collaboration, and camaraderie.

Usually you will find a combination of desk types, designed for solo or collaborative working, meeting rooms, private phone booths and socialising areas with sofas and comfy seating.

All coworking spaces will also have facilities to make coffee, teas and lunch, and most have some form of cafe to purchase additional food and drink.
